Kitchens and the great sea change

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we are moving on the 1st October. Making a sea change to a lovely new home with a kitchen bigger than our current lounge room!

Our current kitchen is neat and tidy, we installed it to update a well worn 1950′s original art deco kitchen. It was deliberately a cheap solution- the area is very small and we always said if we were to settle into the house for the medium term, we would extend the kitchen/dining area. So it didnt make sense to spend a fortune in renovations if we intended to demolish in a few years.

Although our new house is only 12 years old, the current owners have extensively renovated in the last 12 months, and the piece de resistance is the gorgeous polyurethane/ceaserstone kitchen! As an avid cook (Isabella has been calling me masterchef since she could talk- bless!) I am thrilled to have a space to stretch out and storage for all my wonderful equipment that I can easily access. Im chuffed there is a stainless steel bin recessed into the ceaserstone- no more plastic bags hanging off door handles! Only thing is now Im pondering whether we need to purchase a third fridge lol- stainless steel would look so good :-p The stove and range hood is amazing- 6 burners and I have a wall oven!!! no more back breaking bending and balancing dishes! For the first time ever, I will discover the joys of gas cooking- can life get any better than this??
